Something To Say
Independently produced and released, "Something To Say" crosses the border of folk and acoustic music, to offer a variegate tracklist, where pop-rock tunes, intimate ballads, folksongs, blues and electro-rock experiments all sit together. For this project Nicole involved three other musicians, who masterly enriched her sound: Claudio Benvenuto (electric and slide guitar on "Sometimes", "Houdini", "Something To Say", "Night Of Light", "Plastic"), Giorgio Campera (bass on "Sometimes" and "Something To Say") , and Davide Lepido (drums on "Sometimes", "Houdini" and "Something To Say"; synth on "Plastic"). The album deals with freedom, seen as a constant research. A few songs metaphorically use well-known cultural references to outline a description of freedom and the struggle to achieve it. In "Houdini", for example, the great escapologist is a symbol of liberty. On the other hand, "Something To Say" presents the idea of freedom seen as silence, especially in these times of loud talks.
